Spirituality and Middle class

Somewhere I read; some wise guy drew conclusion after discussing a lot about human faith and  dependence on God; that man created the God! My poor memory does not help me to recapitulate his whole narration but this, his last sentence cast a permanent impression even in my dull brain. In fact history suggests since ancient times where ever human civilization developed in whichever form, they had their own God. Chinese had their own; so the Mayas or Aztecs ;despite of their civilization proliferated on either side of Pacific!

In fact , in the initial stages of civilization mankind felt quite unsecured and vulnerable before wild animals and natural calamities. To hunt or fight they needed strength; that was physical and to brave flood or thunder storm they needed stamina; that was mental.  For both they looked for placebo and that was God.

Well; I don’t want to be dragged into the charge of blasphemy; after all the God is great to provide us unique elixir in terms of ‘hope’. And that helps us to endure with patience, tolerance through ups and downs of life. Though the basic formula of living life is ‘ trust in God but keep your powder dry’. With absolute faith in God no one could ever survive without appropriate protective measures. You are sick; suffering from tuberculosis. Without antibiotic no God can pull you out from clutches of death. But with antibiotic and faith in God can hasten your recovery as you have more mental strength with your faith.

Now; as the title of this article suggests, the god and urban middle class; what is the conjunction! In fact; in our urban or metro societies we find many people who can be branded as ‘God fearing’.  They go to temple regularly. offer their obeisance or ‘puja’; draw a ‘Tilak’ on their temple and attend their trade or calling. Like me , there must be many of you surprised seeing optimum corrupt officials or businessmen being so ‘ god fearing’. In their offices the picture of some ‘god or goddess’ hung on the wall, incense sticks are burnt emitting a holy smell all around; and the man within is just waiting like hawk for a vulnerable pray. For him the god is their to keep steady supply of his visitors who would readily grease his palm or give in to his wants.  Go to any Police station to verify this or for a change you may visit income or sales tax offices too. God is every where.

I would like to humbly contribute to this post that brings a very important issue for the days we are living. Especially for a Hindu, this is a very present issue because its society is culturally rooted in spirituality.
It is a beautiful text on faith as opposed to excessive materialism that violently takes us away from our more spiritual aspect.
In fact, there are points in human history that have been lost due to lack of documentation. Those were times past when gods, demons, angels and fairies walked among us and were a common thing.
Currently, we do not see more of these things and then believe they are legends that do not exist. But there are many people who still see them and they are called crazy, but they are not.
Not long ago, there incarnated in India one of the highest deities ever and the world as a whole did not even notice his existence, it was Shiva in the form of Sathya Sai Baba.
What was his greatest teaching? You are gods, act like the gods you are. It´s no use to worship with fear or for money or to get healthy. Be the gods you are and all your trouble will vanish.
Easy for a free and enlightened deity but difficult for deities like us trapped in the material world.
In short, it is not easy due to the limitations that we are submitted to, but we can move mountains if we really want. And there are many free friendly gods that can help us if we only keep our faith and happines.
Hi, Really great effort. Everyone must read this article. Thanks for sharing.

TATA SKY OR TATA SQUEEZE!!

This is my debut article in the interest of Indian consumers. Just my humble contribution; to enlighten them about the product or service of famous TATA SKY. Amir Khan, the brand ambassador or Mr. Ratan Tata, the person at the helm of all TATA affairs, would be ashamed of TATA SKY, once they know instead of making the life “JINA LALA”; it is turning the life “JINA HARAM” with TATA SKY at times. With much expectation I switch over to TATA SKY from local cable operator in the month of May this year. Within six months twice I they have replaced their set top box. They went out of order and it is under warranty for one year. Every time I called their customer care, they receive they call as if your are naïve. They take no less than half an hour, to guide you to switch off and on , take out their digi-card and put it back, whether you are young or old caring a fig for that! Surprisingly their call centre’s number is not toll free! You are put on hold for ten minutes and another twenty m

A trip to TAKI, West Bengal , India

As Bangldesh looks on the bank of Ichamoti, from TAKI, West Bengal. Take a closed look, a cattle corpse i s floating on the river bed, near the Bangladeshi bank. Victim of transborder cattle smuggling. I am not sure how young generation would react to the name of yester year’s one of the most popular writer portraying the essence of rural Bengal, its pains and joys, prosperity and poverty and off course the thread of society; Bibhuti Bhusan Bandopadhyay. His simplicity was eminent in is writing; that was best projected by famous film director Satyojit Roy in his internationally acclaimed films like ‘Pother Panchali’, ‘Aparajito’ et el.  At the age of 9, I read ‘Pother Panchali’. Though I was not matured, enough to comprehend its intrinsic message of the content but the very story left a pugmark in my mind. I became more interested about the author later. The river ‘Ichamoti’ ; again and again surfaced in his rendition; so in my mind. I always cher

If you were assigned to sell a product called “Sweet Treats” with the slogan, “so sweet, it will make you tweet,” but you thought the product tasted sour, and not at all sweet, what would you do?

Often, celebrities contract to endorse a product, but should they use the product regularly, or even like the product before they are allowed to claim that they “endorse” the product? If celebrity is lying, that is endorsing a product he/she does not use/consume then the ad should be pulled.  The Federal Trade Commission requirement that ads or sponsored social media posts indicate so - is not enough to inform consumers. (Robert, 2017) So, yes, a celebrity who endorses a product should at least appear in public using the product. Examples go in the opposite direction, instead of claiming to use a product but not doing so, which would be lying, the Kardashians post product endorsements across several social media platforms either without disclosing it is an ad or waiting until hours or days after the initial post to do so. According to the the organization Truth in Advertising (TINA.org) The delay allows avid followers to see the initial post as a testimonial instead of as an ad. (Kilke
